Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 September 2026
1. Who we are
Still Waters is operated by Crescent Alliance Ltd ("Crescent Alliance", "we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms and confirm you are of legal age in your country (or have authority to bind your organisation).
2. The service
Still Waters provides Biblical passages matched to how you feel, text-to-speech readings, favourites, a prayer journal, daily reminders, and optional paid "Plus" features. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.
3. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service unlawfully, or for fraud or spam;
- Infringe intellectual property rights;
- Introduce malware, probe or scan our systems, or scrape the service;
- Reverse engineer, resell, redistribute, or circumvent technical limits.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and for providing accurate information.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the passages, notes, affirmations, and journal entries you create. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to provide the service to you.
5. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property, including the software, design, documentation, and Still Waters branding.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; when you cancel, access continues until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations. When access ends, we may delete account data after a reasonable period.
8. Liability
The service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it. Still Waters offers spiritual encouragement only — it is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice.
9. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country gives you other rights. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
